Greetings from District President Carolyn Holbrook

Our Washington-Alaska District Retreat held in Kennewick, WA,
was amazing! Yes, we are indeed missionaries! Our speaker,
Rev. Todd Roeske inspired us with his Bible study and his
message. We may not be able to go to the Philippines, or other
areas around the world, but we will serve the Lord here in our
own backyards! Thank you, Christian Life committee, for your
great work! We are blessed!

This is the season of thankfulness. We are so blessed and have much for which
to be thankful. I'm so thankful for each of you, and how you serve the Lord. The
work of the LWML and our mites which support so many mission grants serve the
Lord both here and abroad. Thank you for all you do in your church home, your local
group, and in the district. Praise the Lord as we continue to support our mission
grants! We are still shy of paying all our goal, but God is faithful. We will finish
the race strong!

The Convention Committee is working faithfully to serve the Lord and our district as we plan for our 34th Biennial Convention, June 21-23, 2024, in Everett, WA. Our theme is Strong in the Lord from Ephesians 6:10: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. We look forward to hearing Donna Snow as our Bible Study Leader, Kim Wagner as our Keynote Speaker, and hearing of mission work being done around the world. We will begin the convention with our worship service on Friday evening at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Everett. The convention sessions will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Delta by Marriott Seattle/Everett. We will gain strength in our Lord Jesus and gain power to serve Him in word and deed. Plan now to attend!

As always, remember we are strong and courageous! We know the Lord is always with us as we serve Him!

Blessings as you serve the Lord in gladness!

Blessings always,
Carolyn Holbrook, President
